My most recent experience at The Rio this year was on September 24th. My family and I went to see Lego Ninjago. The Rio theater was in excellent condition, had great concession options, a fabulous price, the sound is incredible, and the local staff is friendly. My personal favorite item at The Rio is the bottled water. As silly as it sounds, it is awesome. My daughter is five years old and she is NOT a soda drinker, so water is our go-to here at The Rio. The bottle water has a flip top, so no worries about losing the lid in the dark. The actual bottle has a drink spout that helps to eliminate spills down the front of a five year old’s shirt. Always, a plus in a movie experience.

ATMOSPHERE
The Rio is locally owned and operated. No big chains here. The owners live in our community. They donate to school carnivals and listen to customer’s feedback. It is an excellent source of entertainment without having to leave town.
The Rio offers excellent Dolby 7.1 surround sound. The sound is literally all around you. I personally found The Rio’s sound to be perfect, not too loud and not too quiet.
The recently updated Rio, combines classic style with modern convenience beautifully. The Rio, from the classic color scheme, mustard walls, black trim, and beautiful carpet, is clean and welcoming. A few of The Rio’s modern touches include new comfortable chairs, closed captioning on select days, and easy to read digital concession screens.
Sweet Home, OR
The Rio theater is a great hometown value. One of my favorite experiences at The Rio is, the night I had VIP seats for opening night of The Force Awakens. VIP seats mean no waiting in line, guaranteed seats, and a waiter/waitress to take your included food order. Food with the VIP seats includes: a large drink, jumbo popcorn, and a large candy. It was an amazing Star Wars experience, and it was incredible not to have to wait outside in the December weather.

Like to visit this place whenever I am in sweet home This is a great family run business with a lot of investment in the community I had to explain to my 8 year old nephew about how in the olden days they used film to project movies when he asked about the fabulous decorations.
My wife and I had our grand kids in town from Colorado, and we all loved it. Comfortable, and terrific management. It's a touch of the 60's with the technology for today. Highly recommend!

It is my opinion that The Rio is a great family and budget friendly theater. The Rio offers a variety of fun theater food. The updated interior creates a comfortable environment. The sound is amazing, and the location even better. My family and I will continue to patronize this hometown value.
As usual, the price was a great bang for your buck. The Rio’s matinee is only $5.00 per person. The regular show price is only $6.00 per person. VIP shows are more (around $20.00 per person), but they include concessions. It is nice to know exactly what your day/night out will cost.
