Skip the restoration from this place. Sent my original X-man #1 to Hero Restoration for a partial restoration. He recommended cover pressing, washing, tape removal, and leaf casting. The comic came back and the pressing, washing, and tape removal were well done. The leaf casting was amateurish at best and looks like gobs of Elmer's glue on the top and bottom of the front and back cover. There was also extra paper and adhesive stuck to the back middle of the cover. When I sent an email with feedback about the work, Mike said "sorry I am still working on that" meaning that he hadn't perfected the technique? My most prized comic now looks worse than when I sent it to him and basically he just said oh well. The kicker is I paid him $500 for the restoration and my comic is probably worth less than when I sent it for the restoration. Again, my advice, skip the restoration from this place.
